Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine

First Visit

During your first office visit, we will ask you at length about your health condition, lifestyle, and behaviour. We want to obtain a complete picture of your treatment needs and behaviours that may contribute to your condition.

After the history taking, we will begin the Acupuncture. Acupuncture needles are metallic, solid, and hair-thin. People experience acupuncture differently, but most feel no or minimal pain, as the needles are inserted. Some people are energized by treatment, while others feel relaxed. Deliberate Stimulation of the needles can induce a more noticeable feeling or reproduce a slight ache or grabbing sensation. However, this is to your tolerance. Depending on your needs, we may prescribe Chinese Herbs, to complement the Acupuncture.
